We set up an office in Kari's house with computers, monitors and remote access to all four spas and the video editing software made it easy to pull relevant segments from our recording in Brazil. I had just finished rendering a sequence when she came in and asked, "So, how many people do I have to fire? Boy, I hate doing that!"

"Well, before you fire anyone, take a look at this." I skipped back to a marker on the recording and clicked 'stop'. "There's something more going on than just stealing Kari. Where does the skin cream you sell in Brasilia come from?"

"There's a factory in Sao Palo that makes it for us and it's a really big seller! Why?"

"Yeah..., a really big seller and I think I know why. Watch this segment."

The video showed the attendant covering my entire face with a warm towel and stepping almost out of camera view to make a phone call. All she said was, "Now!" Then she hung up and continued my massage.

"That's not the correct way to do that," Kari commented. "I'll have to do another training class."

"I don't think a training class is going to help. She had that towel wrapped over everything but my nostrils so I couldn't see or hear anything and here's why."

We saw a man come in and hand an envelope to the attendant. She counted the money inside, put one bill in her pocket and the rest in her purse before handing him a bottle of skin cream. After he left, she continued with my facial. I stopped the video and backed it up. "What do you think you just saw?"

"I guess she sold him a product and got a tip. Did she pay for it later?"

"Yup, eighty-five dollars for the product and fifteen back to her as a tip from the cashier, but look at this." I froze the frame and zeroed in on the money. "Those are American hundred dollar bills she put in her purse. I count twenty-one, two thousand in her purse and one hundred to pay for the product. That's pretty expensive skin cream don't you think?"

"Well..., maybe he owed her some money."

"If that were true, then that attendant must have loaned lots of money to lots of people because she took in eight thousand from four people while I was in that room."

"What do you think she's doing?"

"Drugs, or something else Kari, she's dealing. Somewhere between when your skin cream is made and when it gets to your spa, someone's adding drugs or something else that's worth two-thousand dollars a bottle and that attendant is distributing it to buyers."

"Oh-my-God...! And I thought it was just a popular product we sold through the retail store. What should we do, report this to the police?"

"At this point, we don't have much to report. We don't even know what's in those bottles. Is there anyone down there you can really trust?"

"Ha! I thought I trusted my manager!"

"Okay..., where did she come from?"

"She lives there.
